July 2 - Summer Camp at Resica Falls

Posted on Mar 23 2023 - 1:10pm

Summer camp is the highlight of the Scouting year!  We are supporting our Council and going to Resica Falls July 2-8 this year.  Join us for a top-notch first-year summer camp program to complete lots of rank requirements through First Class, or choose from more than 70 merit badge opportunities, including many required for the rank of Eagle Scout.  Enjoy the Polar Bear swim each morning as well as evening programs [open swim, open shoot (archery, rifle)] during the week.  We are tentatively planning a pre-camp meeting on May 22 for our campers.  Resica Falls is one of our favorite summer camps, and you don't want to miss it!  Registration for merit badges opens April 1 so sign up today!

Citizenship in Society Merit Badge

Posted on Oct 20 2022 - 10:54pm

On November 1, 2021, BSA introduced the Citizenship in Society merit badge.  The new merit badge encourages Scouts to explore important topics around diversity, equity, inclusion and ethical leadership and learn why these qualities are important in society and in Scouting.  Beginning July 1, 2022, the Citizenship in Society merit badge will be required for any youth seeking to achieve the prestigious Eagle Scout rank.  This replaces one of the elective merit badges, Eagle Scout still requires 21 merit badges.
