Welcome to Gladwyne Troop 181!

Gladwyne Troop 181 has been an important presence on the Main Line since 1921. We are dedicated to the goals of scouting: citizenship training, character development, and personal fitness. Our program includes lots of outdoor activities, community service projects and leadership opportunities.  Our monthly weekend campouts include a range of backpacking, whitewater rafting, orienteering and climbing adventures.  The Troop also sponsors fun weeklong summer camps. We meet Sunday evenings from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM at the Merion Square Scout House located at the corner of Youngsford Rd and Conshohocken State Rd. in Gladwyne, PA.

Camping - Sandy Point State Park (MD)

Our October camping trip is an awesome journey to Sandy Point State Park in Annapolis MD.  This 786-acre Maryland State Park is located along the Northwestern shore of the majestic Chesapeake Bay.  The park’s beaches and picnic areas are well known for their breathtaking scenic water views that overlook one of Maryland’s true treasures, the Chesapeake Bay.  Activities may include fishing, hiking, playground, swimming, and maybe a service project.  Our Youth Group (A) rustic campsite overlooks the Chesapeake Bay and has a small picnic shelter with two tables and a grill.  We’ll meet at the Scout House at 6pm Friday to prepare for departure, and should be back by 2pm Sunday.  Cost is $45 per Scout, which covers campsite fees, food, travel costs, supplies & equipment, and adult leader support.  This is going to be a memorable trip you won't want to miss!  Sign up on the troop website today!          View the park website here
