Citizenship in Society Merit Badge

Posted on Oct 4 2022 - 3:21pm

On November 1, 2021, BSA introduced the Citizenship in Society merit badge.  The new merit badge encourages Scouts to explore important topics around diversity, equity, inclusion and ethical leadership and learn why these qualities are important in society and in Scouting.  Beginning July 1, 2022, the Citizenship in Society merit badge will be required for any youth seeking to achieve the prestigious Eagle Scout rank.  This replaces one of the elective merit badges, Eagle Scout still requires 21 merit badges.

St. Christopher's Episcopal Church has approved our Reopening Plan, allowing us to resume in-person meetings and activities.  The Plan details protocols to be followed by all participants in an effort to ensure the safety of our members and their families.  We request that parents review the Plan with their Scout(s) to ensure that everyone understands the procedures.
