Welcome to Gladwyne Troop 181!

Gladwyne Troop 181 has been an important presence on the Main Line since 1921. We are dedicated to the Aims of Scouting: Character, Citizenship, Personal Fitness, and Leadership. Our program includes lots of outdoor activities, community service projects and leadership opportunities.  Our monthly weekend campouts include a range of backpacking, whitewater rafting, orienteering and climbing adventures.  The Troop also sponsors fun weeklong summer camps. We meet Sunday evenings from 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM at the Gladwyne Scout House located at the corner of Youngsford Rd and Conshohocken State Rd. in Gladwyne, PA.

MLK Day of Service - January 18, 2021

Posted on Jan 14 2021 - 9:23pm

Please join us for the 2nd Annual MLK Day of Service at Harriton House on January 18, 2021 from 10:00am to 12:00pm as we clean up the nature trails, stream, and along the roadway.  Bring your work gloves, pruners, loppers, and string trimmers, and get outdoors for a couple of hours to help a neighbor of our community.  We'll follow our normal safety protocols.  We ask that participants sign up on the troop website so we know who to expect.  This will be our troop meeting for the week.

Support our Scout House

Posted on Jan 14 2021 - 9:23pm

The Scout House has long been our gathering place, from weekly troop meetings to occasional cookouts and courts of honor.  Numerous improvements have been made since we last met there, and several more are planned.  We are fortunate to have a place to store all of our gear and have an office for small conferences.  The Scout House relies solely on donations to stay open and available for our use.  Necessary repairs and improvements are not possible without the support of our community and users.  While we haven't been there lately, the expenses continue.  During this season of giving, we hope you can support the Scout House with a tax-deductible donation; all amounts are appreciated.  Click here for the Scout House homepage to make a donation through PayPal.  Your support is appreciated and will help ensure that the Scout House is available to our troop in the future.
